A one-off, exclusive gala screening of Jane Eyre is set to take place at Haddon Hall – one of the key locations featured in the new British film.
The Mercury has joined forces with Volkswagen’s See Film Differently campaign and is offering five lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to the screening on Sunday, September 4.
The event will give film fans the chance to watch one of the year’s most highly anticipated British films before its general release in cinemas across the UK on Friday, September 9.
Taking place within Haddon Hall – the venue chosen to portray the novel’s setting of Thornfield Hall, one of the central locations within the film – the screening is designed to provide film fans with a unique behind the scenes insight.
In the bold new feature version of Jane Eyre, Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) and Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds) star in the iconic lead roles of the romantic drama.
Those fortunate enough to attend will enjoy a pre-screening private viewing of Haddon Hall and gardens and complimentary high-end cinema style food, followed by an exhibition of original stills from the film.
