Winter lectures

THE Arkwright Society will be launching its new lecture series at the beginning of October.

Exploring the work of Building Preservation Trusts, David Trevis-Smith, Chair of the UK Association of Building Preservation Trusts, will be introducing the series on Tuesday, October 2, at 7pm in the Gothic Warehouse at Cromford Mills.

This will be followed by a lecture delivered by Elizabeth Perkins, Trust Director, who will talk about the work of the Birmingham Conservation Trust, particularly in relation to the restoration of the Newman Brothers Coffin Fitting Works.

The lectures are free of charge but donations are welcome.
