A young woman was hit by a bus in a three-vehicle pile up on a major commuter route out of Chesterfield, bringing the town to a standstill.
Derbyshire police were called to Storforth Lane at the junction with Derby Road after reports of the incident t about 4.15pm on Wednesday, January 6.
A 25-year-old woman was found to have been hit by a bus and two cars were involved in a collision with the bus.
This caused a large build-up of traffic in the surrounding areas as the road became blocked.
An air ambulance attended the scene and took the woman to hospital.
A police spokesman said it is believed she did not suffer any serious injuries.
The road was reopened by 5.30pm.
