A spokesman for East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) and Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA)said he received a call at around 1pm and the helicopter landed in a field close to the incident 10 minutes later. The patient was given advanced analgesia to help with extricating her from the garden. Her legs were splinted and she was given other medication in line with the injuries that she sustained.

EMAS assisted with immobilising the patient and moving her from the garden to the aircraft. She was then flown to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for further treatment.

The crew landed at the hospital at around 2:05pm.
