Woman’s body found in Hope

Emergency services were alerted to the scene in the early afternoon of Wednesday, September 26, when two dogs were found running loose near Pindale Road in Hope.

Police and the fire service attended and during a search they discovered the body of a female in a stretch of water known as Peakshole.

The woman, who is believed to be in her early 40s, hasn’t been formally identified but her family is aware,

There don’t appear to be any suspicious circumstances but an investigation will be carried out to find out how she died.
