Workers to move to hall

HUNDREDS of council staff will move into Matlock’s County Hall in a bid to make better use of the building and save £270,000 a year.

Over the next few months, 375 staff from Derbyshire County Council will be moved from other buildings to the hall.

Of the 375 workers moving into County Hall, 80 will come from Stancliffe House at the Darley Dale Molyneux Business Centre. The council’s lease on that building is coming to an end and will not be renewed.

Another 240 will come from the adult care department block in the grounds of County Hall. A further 55 staff will be moved from the Winter Gardens building.
