Workshops draw attention to art
An artist is teaming up with an arts and communities organisation to draw interest to art in Matlock.
Nick Hersey, of Matlock, has teamed up with Matlock Live to carry out a series of events and workshops that aim to get the public involved in drawing as part of the Big Draw project, funded by Derbyshire Community Foundation. He took part in a workshop with youngsters at St Joseph’s Primary School, in Matlock, last week.
More Big Draw workshops will be taking place at Presentation Sisters’ Centre Care Home on November 5 and 12, as well as St Joseph’s, St Giles and Castle View primary schools.
