World Champion Lizzie Armitstead crowned winner of Derbyshire stage of Aviva Women's Tour
The five-day world tour road race which started on Wednesday included a day-long 106.9km Stage 3 today from Ashbourne to Chesterfield including the Peak District National Park, Buxton and Matlock.
Crowds lined the streets right across the county as Stage 3 finished in Chesterfield Market Place this afternoon to cheers of approval.

Hide AdLizzie Armitstead was crowned Stage 3 race winner and overall leader and yellow jersey holder.
The overall race started with Stage 1 on June 15, from Southwold to Norwich, and with Stage 2, on June 16, from Atherstone to Stratford-upon-Avon, followed by today’s wonderful Derbyshire Stage 3 which posed some tough hilly challenges.
Stage 4, is on Saturday, June 18, is from Nottingham to Stoke-on-Trent, and includes southern Derbyshire and the Peak District, before the final Stage 5, on Sunday, June 19, from Northampton to Kettering.
