The programme is part of
Into Film, a nationwide
education charity supported by the British Film Industry, which gets National Lottery
funding.

Through the programme the youngsters will gain
expert training and hands-on experience in film
reviewing, interviewing film industry professionals, and reporting from film events and
red-carpet premieres.

Speaking about why he
auditioned for the programme Finley said: “I auditioned for the programme because I want to interview famous people and find out more about them.

Tommy said: “I really enjoyed the day and getting to meet people I wouldn’t normally see every day. I
especially liked the research and prep session because we got to work together as a team.”

Golden Globe and BAFTA award winning actress and Into Film supporter Julie Walters, of Calendar Girls and Educating Rita fame, heaped praise on the project.

She said: “What an amazing opportunity
Into Film is giving these young people. Learning new skills, putting those into practice and interacting close-up with professionals will raise their aspirations and help them believe in themselves, which could really enhance their lives.”
