LETTER: Council cuts - When are we going to get some good news?

I am becoming increasingly concerned about the cuts that Derbyshire County Council is making.

By 2020 the council will spend £80 less per household than it did in 2010.

Under the Conservative government all we seem to hear is cuts to police, fire service, social care, education and the near decimation of the NHS.

Crimes rates are going up, homelessness is rising. When we do get a bit of good news, Jeremy Corbyn and Labour announcing that they will provide free transport for under 25s we then hear that the council are cutting funding for bus routes. As an OAP I know just how useful the free bus pass is.
