Zumba party in the Peaks

A Bakewell-based charity is teaming up with five local Zumba teachers to throw a fundraising Peak party.

Zumba enthusiast Christine Downes came up with the idea of Zumba Party in the Peak to raise funds for Helen’s Trust, a charity which helps a person to stay at home when they are near the end of their life.

Christine said: “I love doing Zumba and I thought it would be a fun way to raise funds for an important charity.”

Schools in Pilsley, Baslow, Curbar and Hathersage, who already offer Zumba classes to their pupils, will be taking part in a special parent and child session during the day. Adults and children alike will be able to enter the fancy dress competition with some great prizes on offer.

Zumba lovers are challenged to take part in two hour Zumba sessions running throughout the day on Saturday, September 7 from 10am in Baslow Village Hall. If you would like to book a place, please contact Christine [email protected].
