Call made to county charities

Cricket Derbyshire is inviting applications for up to three official charity partners in 2013.

Selected partners will work closely with the club throughout the year to support their fundraising efforts and to increase recognition for their cause.

Charities can be local or national but must be active in the county of Derbyshire. Applications should aim to demonstrate a relevance to cricket in Derbyshire and a positive impact on the local community.

Chief executive Simon Storey commented: “There are countless charities that do remarkable jobs in enhancing lives in Derbyshire.

“The opportunity Cricket Derbyshire has to assist three such organisations through the power of sport is very appealing as we represent the county on the national stage in 2013.’

Any registered charity interested in becoming an official partner of Cricket Derbyshire should email or contact the club by letter to Kerry Madeley, Derbyshire County Cricket Club, Grandstand Road, Derby, DE21 6AF by 5pm on January 31.
