Wirksworth Colts U16s battled back from going behind to gain a a 1-1 draw at ADASC.
Wirksworth had the hosts penned back in their own half for the opening ten minutes only to concede against the run of play when the ADASC number ten dribbled past three opponents to score a brilliant individual goal.
Wirksworth hit back immediately and from Laurence Bostock’s delivery into the penalty area, Joseph Potts continued his prolific streak by bagging his fifth goal in nine games with a smart close-range finish.
Scott Taylor then beat two men, cut back inside and from 25 yards swerved a curling shot that the ADASC goalkeeper tipped wide.
Billy Morley then dispatched a 30-yard drive just over the crossbar, while Robbie Paton had an effort disallowed for offside and ADASC hit the bar as the game remained in the balance.
The home side came back into the game after the interval and Olly Prince’s confident handling in goal was a boon as Wirksworth kept attacking but were also grateful to claim a point.
