Derbyshire CCC reward members by including Australia game in package

Derbyshire CCC say they want to reward 2015 members with entry to the three day tourist match versus Australia at the height of the Ashes summer.

The fixture versus Michael Clarke’s world number one side, starting at The 3aaa County Ground on Thursday 23rd July, is part of a 46-day summer of home cricket for Members to enjoy at less than £4 per day.

Australia boast an experienced and exciting line-up featuring the likes of paceman Mitchell Johnson, all-rounder Shane Watson and hard-hitting opening batsman David Warner.

Chief Executive Simon Storey said: “A number of counties charge their members extra for tourist matches, but we want to reward ours for their loyalty and we’re determined to make membership of Derbyshire great value.

Cricket for less than £4 a day including Australia is great value and we’re seeing an increasing number of people buy membership as a Christmas present.

“We’re delighted to have been selected to host the touring Australia side during the midst of what promises to be an exciting and highly-competitive Ashes series.

“Tour matches at The 3aaa County Ground have been popular over the last few years and our Members can now look forward to the visit of Australia in 2015.
