Derbyshire snap up Scotland international Sharif
The fast bowler, who has featured in 59 internationals for Scotland, will be available for the Royal London One-Day Cup and Vitality Blast Twenty20 competitions.
The 26-year-old has played in 35 ODIs since making his debut in 2011, taking 53 wickets at an average of 25 and with best figures of 5-33.

Hide AdIn the recent ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe, the opening bowler ended the tournament as the joint highest wicket-taker, taking 17 at an average of 13.94.
Sharif has also featured in 41 Twenty20 matches, taking 52 wickets at an average of 19.80.
Derbyshire’s cricket adviser, Kim Barnett, said: “With a busy few months of white-ball cricket coming up, we wanted to strengthen and provide more depth to our fast bowling department.
“We’ve been monitoring Sharif for a while. He is a talented quick bowler and he showed this winter with Scotland that he has the ability to take wickets and perform to a high standard.

Sharif added: “I’m looking forward to joining Derbyshire this summer and the opportunity to play county cricket.
“The club has a talented group of fast bowlers, many with international experience, and I hope I can learn from these guys but also make a difference on the field and help win games for Derbyshire.”
