Umpires call it a day as weather frustrates Derbyshire and Gloucestershire

Derbyshire and Gloucestershire will hope for better weather tomorrow after the third day of the LV County Championship Division Two match at Derby was abandoned without a ball bowled.

High winds overnight had torn part of the covering which allowed water to get under and saturate a small area where the bowlers feet would land.

Despite good drying conditions for much of the day, the umpires decided that one area was still too damp when they held a fourth and final inspection at 3.15pm.
