1. Tim Flowers
Flowers, a Premier League winner with Blackburn Rovers, was appointed Macclesfield Town manager in August but they went bust soon after. Before that, he guided Solihull Moors to their highest ever finish of second in the National League in 2018/19 in his first full season in charge before leaving by mutual consent in January this year. 2. Graham Alexander
It would be a massive coup if they could tempt Alexander to join. Promoted to League One with Fleetwood Town. Guided Scunthorpe United to the League One play-offs in his first full season in charge but left by mutual consent after two years at the club. Led Salford City to promotion through the National League play-offs. Finished 11th last season in League Two and was recently sacked despite fifth and unbeaten. Photo: Jan Kruger
3. Paul Hurst
Hurst won promotion from the National League as manager of Grimsby Town through the play-offs in 2016/17. He then led Shrewsbury Town to the League One play-off final in 2018 and the EFL Trophy final. He was appointed Ipswich Town boss but was sacked after five months. He then took over at Scunthorpe United but was sacked in January this year after eight months in charge. Photo: Pete Norton
4. Graham Westley
An experienced manager in non-league and the Football League. Most notably won the Conference Premier title with Stevenage in 2009/10 and folllowed that up with another promotion the season after through the League Two play-offs.
