Kick-off at the Matlock Town v Workington Town match was delayed this afternoon after a supporter collapsed with a suspected heart attack.
The air ambulance flew in and landed on the Causeway Lane pitch to offer assistance.
The game eventually kicked-off at 3.45pm.
A club spokesman Tweeted: “Incredibly proud of all the staff at our club who made sure everything ran smoothly and they all played their part.”
To thank the Derbyshire Air Ambulance for their quick response, fans of both teams raised £350 with a bucket collection.
In the end, Matlock lost the game 2-1 to a laate goal soon after having and skipper Joe Doyle-Charles sent off.
