Chesterfield fan column: 'Throw-in decision was not why we lost to Stockport County'
and live on Freeview channel 276
Let’s be fair, never mind them being given a throw-in that never was which led to the first goal, Chesterfield did not really create anything on Saturday.
That is down to Stockport working hard to press our back line and stop the full-backs moving forward.

Hide AdThings did not go well on Saturday for Chesterfield on the pitch but spare a thought for Dover Athletic. It looks like their season is finished and since we are now in a division where decisive action off the field by the National League is not perhaps everything it could be, who knows how the season will end up?
Dover called time on their season a week ago and are already facing FA charges for failing to fulfil fixtures – a retribution which could lead to heavy fines, a points deduction or demotion. There seems little point in fining a club that has not got any money and since there is no promotion into the National League is there any point in demoting Dover? If they get a points deduction that won’t make any difference as they are bound to finish near the bottom anyway. Should the points accrued against by other teams Dover be wiped out?
None of this has been decided yet, but it needs sorting quickly as it leaves all the other sides in limbo.
Meanwhile, I am looking forward to seeing Nathan Tyson return to action because I think he add some more quality to the side.
