Cup final in first season for Pilsley Community team

Meet the boys of Pilsley Community U8 Whites, who reached a cup final in their first season together.

“A massive well done!” said a club spokesman. “What a fantastic achievement”.

Paul Murtagh’s side acquitted themselves well in a memorable final played at Matlock Town’s ground. Because of FA rules governing football at such a young age, the scoreline has not been disclosed, but the match completed another terrific season for Pilsley Community, who were formed with four children’s teams in 2014 but now have as many as ten.
