It will be a 19th meeting between the sides in this competition, the last one coming in the 2009/10 season when the Gladiators beat the Reds 3-1 at Causeway Lane in a third round tie.

Reds manager Nicky Law will be without defender Duane Courtney who suffered a right hamstring tear in the FA Trophy defeat at FC Halifax Town on Saturday. Courtney is set for a six to eight week spell on the sidelines.

Law will also be without Dan Bradley with a slight thigh strain keeping him out for a second successive game, although he is expected to be fit for the trip to Welling United on Saturday.

Matlock arrive for the tie in 21st place in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division.

To reach this stage of the competition Matlock beat Buxton 2-0 on December 10 with Alfreton recording a 1-0 home win over South Normanton Athletic.

One familiar face in the visiting camp will be joint Gladiators manager Dave Rushbury who had a spell as Director of Football at the Impact Arena ten years ago.

Extra time and penalties will be utilised if necessary to decide the tie if the scores are level at the end of 90 minutes. Kick-off 7.45pm.

Meanwhile, Alfreton have announced a new date for their Vanarama Conference home game against Dartford.

The fixture was postponed on December 28 due to a snowbound Impact Arena playing surface and has now been rearranged for Tuesday, February 10 with a 7.45pm kick-off.
