Dynamoes hit ten goals

Darley Dale Dynamoes U7s 10

Matlock Spartans U7s 0

A CONFIDENT Darley team continued their improvement with this great win over local rivals Matlock.

The Dynamoes showed their attacking intentions from the start with Joe Novelli’s goal-run continuing as he lashed home the first into the roof of the net with Dylan Bayes pulling the strings from midfield, Darley continued to carve open the Matlock defence,

Ben Crooks’s sweet strike made it two, and Josh Heath grabbed a cheeky third.

Matlock broke out on a number of occasions but Thomas Wiggley and James Andrews defended well and forced the pressure back onto the Spartans.

Darley’s goal-scoring defender Joshua Snape smashed home number four, while a Robbie Fowler-esque finish from Novelli made it number five. Bayes shot high into the top corner for the next goal before another sweeping move down the right ended in a cool finish by Crooks.

Matlock made a number of strong attacks in the second half but Harrison Plumb saved bravely to deny them.

A terrier-like performance from Tommy Gill down the left caused problems for Matlock and his cross was converted by Heath. Then a sweet move down the right involving Novelli, Crooks and Bayes was stabbed home by the latter and the rout was completed when Crooks slipped home neatly after a pass from Snape.

Man of the match for Darley was Dylan Bayes.
