Bradwell won 5-2 at Tintwistle Villa to stay in touching distance of the leaders, who now have a four-point gap.

Elsewhere in the top flight, basement side Hope Sports went down 6-0 at Bakewell Town and Youlgrave United were edged out 5-3 in a goal-fest at home to fellow strugglers Dronfield Woodhouse.

In the A Division, Ashover put in the performance of the weekend as they cruised to an 8-0 success away at Baslow, to extend their lead at the top to six points.

Buxworth moved up to second as they won 5-3 at Grindleford.

Elsewhere, relegation-threatened Cote Heath were beaten 4-0 at Dronfield Town A.

In the other standout result in the second tier, Bakewell Manners romped to a 7-1 win at Chinley.

In the B Division, Bamford’s 5-2 success at home to Stoney Middleton ensured their 12-point lead at the top was maintained.

Chesterfield Town edged out Calver 3-2 to stay second, whilst winless Furness Vale Reserves lost 4-3 at home to Darley Dale Lions.

Finally, Eyam thrashed Edale 4-1 as they moved up the standings and into third place.
