Former Matlock Town and Buxton striker Shaun Tuton has signed for League One side Barnsley.
Tuton, 24, joined up with FC Halifax Town in the summer and scored ten goals in the National League.
That caught the eye of Barnsley boss Lee Johnson who has given Tuton a two-and-a-half year deal with an option for a further year should Tuton impress.
He told the Tykes’ official website: “I’m over the moon, obviously.
“I’ve been stepping up over the past couple years from Evo-Stik to the Conference, so within five months to get a move to a big League One Club is great.
“When I first heard, I was sat waiting and heard a few rumours, then when my agent said it was finalised I couldn’t wait to get over and sign.”
