"The way the club is being run not only promotes positive atmosphere and desire to win but also promotes community involvement and participation in football.

"I really hope I can play my part in helping Bakewell Town Ladies improve players and bringing success to the club and community.

"I’m also looking forward to getting back involved with football after a few years away from playing it’ll be nice to get back into a team and competitive atmosphere again and eager to get involved in training and matches in a coaching aspect of the club alongside Tom and a strong experienced team of staff.”

“I’m hoping to use my knowledge and experiences from playing at various levels within the football pyramid, through my sport and exercise science and my current MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology degrees throughout the team to aid development and performances.

"We’ve got a group of talented girls with a wide range of skills and I aim to use my tactical, technical and scientific knowledge to support Tom and the other coaching staff to individualise training sessions and to provide the best quality football we can to bring success.

"I believe the standard will be very high in years to come.”

Boss Wells-Lomas said the signing was a big move for the club.

“I think this is a huge addition to the club as a whole, not just the ladies side,” he said.

"Robyn comes with some great experience at very high levels of the game and I think it’s great that we can have that kind of expertise around the club.

"Robyn will be coming in to the side to work with the players using sports science. I think it’s a great tool to have at any level of football if you have access to it.”
