Gainsborough Trinity sign former Matlock midfielder Laurie Wilson

Gainsborough Trinity boss Dom Roma has signed former Matlock Town midfielder Laurie Wilson.

Wilson, the son of Chesterfield manager Danny Wilson, signs following a short spell at Frickley.

Wilson won the National League North title in 2011 whilst with Alfreton Town.

Speaking to the official Gainsborough Trinity website, Wilson said: “I am looking forward to adding some experience to the team.

“I’ve got some fond memories of my time at Alfreton, I took a lot from my time there and hope I can pass on some of that experience to the youngsters here at Gainsborough.”
