'I thought he had a great game' - Alfreton Town manager Billy Heath praises Chesterfield loanee Luke Rawson on goalscoring debut
and live on Freeview channel 276
The 19-year-old joined the National League North club on loan for a month and only had one training session with his new teammates before starting Saturday’s 1-1 home draw.
Rawson, who was said to have made a ‘great impression’, tapped in from close-range to give Alfreton the lead and tested Chorley goalkeeper Matthew Urwin on a couple of other occasions.
The visitors equalised with a late penalty.
Of Rawson, Heath said: “He did ever so well.

“I thought he had a great game.
“He looked a real target, he looked a handful and he looked a real goal threat.
“He was in the background last year for Chesterfield and he has been brought through this season and they want him to go play 90 minutes.
“He has done well for them already this season, he has got a couple of goals.

Meanwhile, Milan Butterfield impressed on his debut for Guiseley in their 4-2 home victory against Southport after joining on a month’s loan just before kick-off.
Butterfield was reportedly ‘pulling the strings in midfield’ and Guiseley boss, Russ O’Neill, said he was ‘excellent’.
