“I have enjoyed working with George since the summer so once George became a free agent, we moved quickly to secure him,” Rowe said.

“He brings a good balance and versatility to any team in the National League and I am looking forward to working with him once again.”

When asked about Carline before he signed, Rowe told the DT: “He has played at this level with Solihull, he was in the play-off team that got to the semi-finals a year and a half ago.

“He can play multiple positions. He is a good player, a versatile player, very physical, he brings that aspect to the team and he is a very good human being first and foremost.

“He would be a great coup for any team at this level and obviously the one below.”

Carline added: “It’s a great opportunity for me with the size of the club and the ambitions that the new owners have got. It’s a really exciting time and I’m really looking forward to the challenge.

“I’ve enjoyed the short time I’ve worked under James. He’s a positive character who is working his way up and hopefully we can have some success."
