Laburnum made it four wins out of four at home by putting eight past Talbot at the weekend.
Ben Haulksworth scored a 15-minute hat trick to give Laburnum a perfect start which saw Jimmy Thompson and Mark Stokes controlling the game from the centre of midfield.
Talbot pulled a goal back to leave the score at 3-1 going into the half-time interval and two quickfire goals then found Talbot level after 60 minutes.
The introduction of George Walker gave the home side the lift they needed and he soon put the Laburnum back in front by finishing off a superb cross from Ian Molyneux.
Talbot pulled level once more but this sparked Laburnum back into life and, spearheaded by Haulksworth, Toplis, Mellor and Haywood, the chances kept coming.
The lead was eventually wrestled back through an excellent finish from Matt Haywood.
Further goals were added soon after with Toplis, Haulksworth and another from Haywood finally finishing off Talbot.
Laburnum will be looking for their first away points at Staveley next week.
