Hady Bridge 2
Laburnum travelled to Hady Bridge looking for their first win of the season and returned with all three points, having produced a committed performance.
It took only 30 seconds for Laburnum to open the scoring. Paul Mellor was sent clear down the right touchline and his far post cross was converted from close range by Dave Harper.
Further chances followed, and eventually the lead was doubled as Chris Toplis volleyed in from the edge of the area.
However, attacking with a strong wind, Hady began to gain a foothold in the game and pulled a goal back.
Good defending from the back four of Dan Harper, Killick, Walker and Thornley ensured Laburnum went in at half time 2-1 up.
Laburnum began the second half on the front foot with Mark Stokes and Jimmy Thompson controlling the game in midfield.
After more missed chances, Chris Toplis got his second of the game.
Hady pulled a consolation goal back before the end but Laburnum held on to secure the win and will be looking to build on this next Sunday morning when they play Silver Birches on Dimple Fields.
