League issues a call for new sides

The Manor Pharmacy Matlock and District Football League is currently looking for new or unattached teams for the 2012-2013 season.

The league runs with two strong divisions and includes teams such as Hopflower, who were recently crowned Derbyshire Cup north champions, Chesterfield Town, who lifted the 106th Cavendish Cup, and new teams already confirmed are Ashover, Barley Mow and Darley Dale Red Star.

The committee feels the league is now one of the strongest in the county, and is now also attracting some of the best teams Derbyshire has to offer.

If you want to be part of this thriving set-up and enter one of the two divisions, don’t delay as a cut-off point has been set for new teams due to the demand for places.

New teams wishing to enter the league need to get in touch before the end of June.

To enter the league, contact Jim Else on 01773 833945 or by email at susan_else@sky.com or you can visit the league’s website at www.leaguewebsite.co.uk/matlockdistrictfootballleague
