Reece Kendall has gone out on loan.

With Matlock being a non-elite club and banned from playing in the restrictions announced by the Government, wing back Kendall will be joining Guiseley for a month. Earlier skipper Liam Hughes had signed up at Kettering Town for a similar period and made his Poppies debut in a 2-2 draw at Boston United on Tuesday.

Gladiators boss Paul Phillips has given approval for his players to maintain their fitness by playing in the National League and Kendall is likely to be included in the Lions’ squad for their derby at Farsley Celtic tomorrow (Saturday).
