Gresley FC’s leading scorer Jordan Ball, 22, was joined by 18-year-old defender Ashley Bartle from Chesterfield on a joint registration deal, but the Spireites have recalled forward Jake Orrell from his loan spell at the Autoworld Arena.

Ball began his career with Doncaster Rovers scoring a winner on his debut in a Johnstone Paint tie against Chesterfield.

He then had a loan spell at Belper Town before later playing at FC Halifax Town, Rainworth MW, Mickleover Sports and Ange IF.

Bartle currently captains the Spireites under 21 developmental side but actually began his footballing life with Matlock Town FC Juniors before Chesterfield put him on a contract in January 2014.

He is a former Highfields School pupil and has represented Derbyshire at schoolboy level.
