Matlock Town manager Dave Hoole completed his second signing as boss on Friday when young midfielder Harry Vince returned to the club.

Vince, 19, became the second Gladiators’ signing of the day, following former Sheffield United winger Jordan Chapell’s switch.

Vince, formerly of Boston United, scored a stunning free kick for Matlock while on loan towards the end of last season, a strike that defeated Lancaster City at the death.

The midfielder joined Boston on his 18th birthday and scored his first senior goal in the Pilgrims’ 2-0 win over Salford City two days later.

He has also played for England C in the double-header against the Panjab FA and the Jersey FA.
