Stockbrook Rangers succumbed to their first defeat of the season and dropped to second place as Aston United ran out 2-0 winners.
Wirksworth Ivanhoe are now unbeaten in six league games as they edged past a struggling Cromford 3-2 at Cromford Meadows with the goals coming from Daniel Watson, Michael Beech and Jack Higton.
Ryan Marchington and Connor Gratton got on the scoresheet for Cromford.
Rowsley 86 romped to a 7-1 victory over Newhall United thanks to a hat-trick from Tim Baker, along with a double from Liam Hallam, a single from Aaron O’Neill and a Jake Watson own-goal.
In Division One, Matlock United got the bragging rights in the town of Matlock after they edged past local rivals Matlock Town CFA 3-2 thanks to goals from Callum Gill, Dan Bridge and Steve Prime.
Jordan Evans and Gregor Brailsford netted for CFA.
Meanwhile, Wirksworth Town Reserves got their first win of the season – moving them off the foot of the table in the process – after defeating Derby Singh Brothers 1-0.
Andrew Brown netted the only goal of the game.
There was an eight goal thriller in Division Two at the Wirksworth Recreation Ground, where Wirksworth Ivanhoe Reserves and Real Medina played out a 4-4 draw.
In the Derbyshire FA Junior Cup North, Rowsley 86 Reserves progressed into the next round after they romped to a 12-1 victory over Alfreton United.
Matt Windsor netted four, Jordan Spalding and Angus Hodgson bagged hat-tricks, while Nathan Moore and Ashley Dooley completed Rowsley’s scoring.
Meanwhile, Ashbourne Reserves against Punjab United was called off after United were unable to raise a squad.
