It would appear that the destination of the Midlands Regional Alliance’s Premier Division championship was decided in the Derbyshire Dales at the weekend with defending champions Allenton United winning 1-0 at Rowsley 86.

Cromford continue to press but readily admit that they are now playing for the runners-up spot, something they took a giant stride towards by winning 2-1 at Chellaston with goals from Billy Lobley and Kyle Johnson.

Wirksworth Town had a hat-trick hero in Carl Moore as they beat Mickleover RBL 4-0 with Robert Inkle bagging the other goal.

Ashover remain second to bottom after losing 2-0 to Swanwick Pentrich Road. In Division One, Rowsley 86 Reserves lost 5-0 to champions elect Allestree while in Division Two, Wirksworth Town Reserves won 3-1 at Little Eaton Reserves and Wirksworth Ivanhoe drew 2-2 with Melbourne Dynamo Reserves.
