MRA round-up: Ivanhoe’s cup dream still alive

If only Wirksworth Ivanoe could transfer their cup form to the league.

Saturday saw them back in cup action against Whaley Bridge Athletic Reserves who they beat 3-0.

Jack Higton, Callum Worth and Ben Marsh scored the goals to take Ivanhoe into the next round of the Derbyshire FA Divisional Cup North.

The same competition saw Cromford record a 5-1 win over Tintwistle. Both Danny Wildgoose and Billy Lobley scored twice with Joe Kaye grabbing the other goal.

Only two MRA league games escaped the attention of the weather and a decimated programme due to cup action.

Both of these were in Division Two with Shardlow St. James winning 5-3 at Newton and Melbourne Dynamo Reserves defeating Willington Sports 7-1.
