Opening day and Christmas schedule: key National League dates for Chesterfield fans

Chesterfield will find out who they will be playing on the opening day of the 2020/2021 National League season next Tuesday, it has been confirmed.

The fifth tier fixtures will be released at 1pm on September 8.

The campaign will get underway on Saturday, October 3 and will finish later than normal on May 29.

The play-offs will take place over the first three weekends of June.

The 2020/2021 National League fixtures are out next week.

There will be the traditional action-packed Christmas schedule with matches on Boxing Day, December 28 and January 2.

The National League North and South divisions will kick-off their seasons on October 3 with FA Cup matches, before the regular campaign gets underway a few days later.

The Spireites will play their first pre-season fixture next Tuesday at Belper Town (7.30pm) before away games against Matlock Town (September 15, 7.30pm), Alfreton Town (September 19, 12noon) and a home match against Guiseley (September 26, 12noon).
