Level at the break
HT: Chesterfield 1 v 1 York City
Two good goals from Mandeville and Dyson means the score is level at the break. Spireites have controlled possession but not created loads. York have had two good chances for Forde and John Lewis. Dyson hit a post from distance as well.
Goal for York: 1-1
A long ball is nodded into the path of Dyson who takes a touch and volleys into the far corner from distance. Great strike, to be fair.
Blues let off the hook
A second big chance for York. Fitzsimons is caught on the ball and with an open goal to aim for, John Lewis’ attempt from about 25 yards goes wide.
Chance for Town
Colclough picks the ball up on the left, he works the ball to Maguire inside the box, who finds Dallas, who prods it to Mandeville, but his soft shot is easily saved by Whitley.
Big chance for York
Forde blazes over the bar at the back post from close-range after a cross from the left travelled all the way through to him. Big let off for Town. Forde, on loan from Watford, has eight goals in 15 appearances, so you would hve fancied him there.
What a goal that would have been
With Banks down injured after being hit by the ball, Dyson has just taken aim from about 35 yards and it just clipped the outside of the post. That would have been a goal of the season contender.
Duckworth
Steps into space about 30 yards out and lets fly but he drags it well wide for the visitors.
1-0 after 26 minutes.
