Spireites: ‘It was a world class save,’ says Chesterfield boss Paul Cook
The 27-year-old stopper acrobatically denied Elliot Richards’ goalbound drive before two spectacular goals from Jay O’Shea and Armand Gnanduillet secured a vital three points for the Spireites.
The Chesterfield chief said: “The reason Tommy Lee gets a contract extension and we speak about him so well is because he is a top goalkeeper, and top goalkeepers make top saves.”

Chesterfield find themselves nine points from the play-offs with nine to play.
And Cook said belief is still strong at the club.
He added: “The first 15 minutes we were poor. The negativity from the players goes to the crowd and rightly so. It takes a world class save from Tommy Lee to keep us in it.
“From there we started to grow into the game and pass the ball. We need to be brave. If you make mistakes but you’re a player that works hard they’ll put up with your mistakes.
