Tansley Dragons on fire in derby

Tansley Dragons U11s 5

Tansley Trojans U11s 2

TWO first half goals from Cameron Bayford-Wynn and one from George Watts put Tansley Dragons well on their way to three points in this keenly contested all Tansley derby.

Trojans had started brightly, but only good goalkeeping by Lloyd Miller and last gasp tackling by Will Neale prevented Dragons having an unassailable lead by the interval.

Kian Kimpton pulled one back for Trojans in the second half with a trademark clinical finish. Trojans now looked like they were back in the game but Dragons were in no mood to let their lead slip and defended with determination. Both teams had chances to add to their tally as the game drew to a close, but the vital next goal was to be for the Dragons, Billy Franklin scoring directly from a corner to re-establish their three goal lead. Corey Khan rose at the far post to power in his first goal for Trojans before Seb Ryder made it 5-2.
