Marcus Dinanga, Jack Clarke and Alex Whittle have all arrived in the last week.

So that leaves the next question of who goes?

We now have four left full-backs so it may mean that Tyler Denton and David Buchanan are out of favour. I’m sure that Buchanan could easily step into a League Two side and I am not sure what Denton has done wrong as he has seemed promising so far.

Up front, Jack McKay has gone on loan to Blyth Spartans, his signing was a hangover from the previous regime and the less said about them the better. Sadly, Nathan Tyson is injured again and it then leaves the question of does Scott Boden have a future at 1866 Sheffield Road? Neither he or Joe Rowley were in the matchday squad last time out against Solihull Moors.

If you didn’t notice, at Solihull, George Foster, our assistant manager, walked up and down the front row of the empty stand in either half yelling instructions to help organise our defence. At one point he got told off by the fourth official and Foster smiled innocently back. Some people would say that’s against the rules, but others would call it taking initiative. It was the world’s biggest technical area!

We face a daunting two games a week in February, providing none are cancelled, so we should have more of an idea of how our season is shaping up after that.
