Wirksworth had taken the lead through Toby Howard before two goals from Joseph Turner and effort from Luke Room secured the Saints’ fourth consecutive league win.

Newhall United picked up their second league win on the spin after running out 4-1 winners at winless Cromford courtesy of strikes from Paul Hollis, Dylan Burke, James Ward and Daryl Taylor. A Daniel Wildgoose penalty provided a consolation for Cromford.

Matlock United booked their place in the next round of the Challenge Cup after coming from 2-0 down to beat Doe Lea AFC 3-2.
Dene Cropper and Adam Norris had given Doe Lea the advantage before a hat-trick from Dan Bridge made sure it was his side progressing into the next round.
