FOOTBALLING youngsters from Holy Trinity Primary School in Matlock Bath gave a good account of themselves at last Friday’s npower under 11s Football Kids Cup.

THe event was held at the Power League Soccer Dome at Pride Park, Derby. The nationwide competition sees the winning teams ultimately compete in the final at Wembley Stadium. 70 teams from across Derbyshire had entered. Holy Trinity came second in their group of four, with a win, a draw and a defeat from their three games, but only the winners went through to the next stage.

Nevertheless, they acquitted themselves well and a good time was had by all.

The youngsters in the team are shown at the tournament with teacher Lisa Sutton. They are (back row left to right) Ellen Hollands, Alex Bingham, Neo Bateman-Shane, Marco Kelman and Cooper Nicholson.
