Chris Green remains the runaway leader of Matlock Cycling Club’s points competition after taking third in the club’s latest Tuesday ten-mile time trial.
Adam Kenway won the event in 16:18 with Patrick Gould second in 22:27 and Green 37 seconds behind.
Torrential rain meant that no riders competed in last week’s long hilly time trial.
The top ten riders in the points competition are:
(1) Chris Green V 330 pts 21 rides; (2) Andy Woolf V 161 pts 11 rides; (3) Kyle Fantom U23 120 pts 14 rides; (4) Eric Ruthenberg V2 108 pts 12 rides; (5) Kevin White V 105 pts 8 rides; (6) Adam Kenway S 105 pts 7 rides; (7) Michael Beech U23 93 pts 6 rides; (8) Richard Cordin V 92 pts 4 rides; (9) Patrick Gould S 82 pts 5 rides; (10) Matt Ingram V 69 pts 5 rides;
Marrianne Hefron leads the ladies’ competition ahead of Sarah Briggs and Marianna Kuszynski.
On Bank Holiday Monday, eight riders competed in the club’s 25-mile time trial, with their points being added to the overall competition along with the next week’s totals.
Andy Woolf was quickest in 57:10 ahead of Dave Wallwin in 57:16 and Matt Ingram in 58:47.
Meanwhile Matlock CC’s younger riders are preparing to take part in this coming Sunday’s British Schools Cycling Association (BSCA) Circuit Race Championships at Darley Moor near Ashbourne.
Matlock’s riders will be competing against riders from all around the Midlands region, with races commencing at 10am.
