Match in memory of Sam set for Sunday

The annual Sam Broatch Memorial Cup charity football match will take place at Matlock Town’s Reynolds Stadium on Saturday, with a 2pm kick-off.

A match takes place every year to remember Sam, who tragically lost his life in an accident in 2000 while travelling abroad.

This year’s game will be between a Matlock XI and the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA), with monies raised being donated towards the Sam Broatch Sports Trust Fund and the SSAFA.
