The competition’s aim is to support junior golf development in the counties of participating clubs.

Matlock D, captained by Ian Greaves throughout the season, played Cosby A from Leicestershire in the final, securing a formidable 5 to 2 victory.

This was even more convincing as Cosby went into the final as champions from the previous year.

Matlock Golf Club’s Gary Huckerby said: “Thanks also go to players who played throughout the competition who were unable to be present for the final.

“We also congratulate member Nick Russell who recently shot a costly hole in one on the eighth hole.”
