SOUTH Wingfield were left to lament a disappointing batting display as they fell to a seven-wicket defeat at home to Belper Meadows.

The hosts batted first but only three achieved scores over 20, Sam Colclough (21), Chris Dunn (21) and Ashley Tranter (22 not out) as they were bowled out for just 116. Dan Challinor was chief destroyer with 4-74.

Belper lost just three wickets as they passed their target in 24 overs, Ryan Buckley not out 44 and Adrian Marsh with 26 being the top scorers, Richard Briggs taking two wickets and Adam Young the other.
