Football fans who also like their cricket are being offered the chance to be a club member at Derbyshire CCC at a discounted price.
Season ticket holders at Chesterfield, Derby County and Burton Albion have been urged to snap up the offer quickly, however, as it runs out at the end of the month.
Club membership at the county cricket side offers entry to all home regular season games this summer, including the group stages of the T20 Blast, all traditional four-day games and the women’s ODI between World Cup winners England and New Zealand.
There are also ticket discounts and priority access for knockout games, discounts in the club shop and copies of the club’s digital members magazine.
Anyone wanting further information should email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01332 388 101.
Former Yorkshire and England off-spinner Geoff Cope will be the guest speaker at the next Derbyshire Cricket Society lunch, on Thursday, 25th January at The 3aaa County Ground from noon.
Cope played first-class cricket for Yorkshire from 1966 to 1980, initially during the era of England internationals Brian Close and Ray Illingworth.
He took 686 wickets at an average of 25 and also appeared in three Test matches.
Cope tells his story of early success, followed by time out of the game remodelling his bowling action as well as a Test match hat-trick.
He has suffered a gradual loss of eyesight that now leaves him reliant on a guide dog.
