A 29-14 success for under 15s against Melbourne

Matlock RFC under 15s travelled to play a tough, determined Melbourne side.

The first try for Matlock came from Will Molynieux after a missed tackle allowed him a free run-in with Sam Page kicking the extra two. The second was via John Statham.

Matlock seemed to think the game was in the bag but Melbourne started to grow with confidence, and eventually broke through with a converted try. They now had Matlock on the back foot and produced another well-deserved converted try.

In the second half, Statham crossed for his second try. Andrew Eastwood scored a good individual try and quickly picked up his second from a move that came off a scrum, running straight to cross the line with Sam Page kicking the extra two making it 29-14 to Matlock.
